I’ve always loved design and technology.
As a kid I would write, organize, and print my own magazines about various topics – mostly 90's-00’s fashion trends.
By 13 I was teaching myself HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and FTP so I could make my own MySpace layouts, icons (especially Twilight related), and other digital accessories to put on my own website, eCommerce style for others to collect and use as well. I never finished the “cart” functionality… but I had grand ideas.
I made free websites for strangers on the internet, including a very basic YouTube clone for a guitar teacher and a super cool MySpace layout for a screamo band in California!
Many years later, I'm still learning how to make cool stuff with the digital tools available to me!
But life is more than interfacing with screens...
I love all kinds of art, particularly watercolor, block carving and printmaking, and backyard bird photography.
Exploring the beauty of other landscapes and communities around the country is also something I enjoy, when I have the chance.
I've sung and played in bands, camped in the middle of nowhere, written a cover feature article in a health magazine, and a whole lot more.
One of my life goals is to have chickens :)
